Toronto’s Art Imperial just released a six-track EP entitled Surf Suburban EP. Wondering what a guy from Toronto is doing writing a Surf album, I inspected. Dreams of white beaches and blue waters pushed Art Imperial to record this EP in his mom’s basement and it is one beautiful EP. Frenetic guitars, shimmering vocals and all the reverb and distortion you could ever want. This is one fantastic lo fi “surf-pop” collection with songs that will consistently be stuck in your head, you will certainly enjoy this, I most definitely did.
