Tonight at the Paradise comes to town a huge favorite of mine Mr. Jonathan Fritz, aka Jonny Corndawg. He’s bringing wild leather goods, quick witted country songs that will make you laugh (Exercise) and ones that might make you cry (Undercover Dad).  Jonny truly is a one of a kind artist, and I’m happy to get the chance to have a sit down with him tonight.  Jonny has been on tour for what seems to be forever and we’re lucky to have him here in town.  He brings honky tonk, outlaw country style, sometimes raunchy lyrics and pontifications about Fords vs Chevys.  How can that not be a great time?

Trampled By Turtles – Wait So Long

Jonny’s relentless touring continues with Duluth’s bluegrass / folk n roll band Trampled by Turtles.  If you haven’t been exposed to Trampled by Turtles, I highly expect you to check out their track Wait So Long, off their album Palomino.  Its the perfect storm of bluegrass mixed with a bit of punk thrash that helped TbT storm into Newport Folk Festival and play one of the best shows I saw at the festival.

Its going to be a great night of music, and I believe there are still a few tickets available.
