Check out this new track from Chicago folk three piece Fort Frances. Maybe you missed it, but I posted on their absolutely gorgeous video and song “Cities in Dust.” At the time, they were giving away their album The Atlas (one which I enjoyed quite a bit), and today they are releasing a brand new track titled “Lowlands,” an ambling acoustic ballad. Their music is a healthy dose of folk/acoustic and singer David McMillin’s voice is perfect for the poignancy of this song. The stripped down nature of the song makes it feel all that more desolate, like a gray day that seems to go by really slowly.
Hopefully the release of this track is the hint at a full album.
