Saturday night brought our friends Larcenist back into the city for the official release of their new album Eager City, Patient Country. In an incredibly packed, sweaty night at Great Scott, hordes of fans, friends and music lovers came in droves for the likes of Cask Mouse, Aunt Martha and the return of Larcenist from their south to north tour.
Cask Mouse & Aunt Martha warmed up the night, and then Larcenist came out to much fanfare, playing a good part of their new material, as well as some from their original EP, not to mention a fiery cover of Johnny Cash’s Folsom Prison Blues. The new tunes from Eager City, Patient Country blend themselves perfectly with the whiskey in my hand, it was a fun night of music from top to bottom.
