[T]he members of Dark Dark Dark continue building up the band’s impressive album/EP resume with the forthcoming EP What I Needed, out April 23rd on Supply & Demand. Released to celebrate Record Store Day in the UK, the 4-track EP contains three new songs and (believe it or not) a disco remix of a single from the October 2012 full-length album, Who Needs Who. The new single is the title track from the EP What I Needed and is a solid 60’s sentimental song which finds vocalist Nona Maria Invie embracing her inner Mary Weiss. The Minneapolis band are well known, and well loved, for their unusual take on American folk and releasing a nostalgic ode to love and loss makes them all the more enduring.
