[H]aving a bad day? Check out St.
Paul and the Broken Bones, a rhythm and blues group from Birmingham, Alabama. They’ve got so much soul it’s sure to turn your Monday around, heck, it’ll probably turn your entire year around. The band
has a kicking brass section and lead singer Paul Janeway gives Otis Redding and Sam Cooke a run for their money.
Last November they turned heads at Nashville’s Music City Roots live (below) and they converted more than a few more fans at this year’s SXSW. They’ve got an EP up on bandcamp, but are due to release a full-length album sometime this spring. Keep an eye out, these guys are gonna
break big. And a big thanks to Brandon from Boston’s Larcenist for tipping me off to these guys!
