New Music | Hunter Hunted – Operating

HunterHunted

[L]os Angeles musicians Micheal Garner and Dan Chang are Hunter Hunted and they are coming for you whether you’re ready or not. The duo just released their debut self-titled EP and sold out their very first live show at LA’s Troubadour on the strength of just 5 songs! It’s safe to say the writing is on the wall for these guys and we here at Music Savage couldn’t be happier to help spread the word. Hunter Hunted is the sound of summer, of running through the woods without a care in the world and staying out till dark. The harmonies and rhythms contained in every song on the new EP could be a soundtrack to a romance, or the next indie movie staring Bill Murray.

What I’m getting at here is that the rest of the world will catch on soon so it would be in your best interest to catch Hunter Hunted while they are still the opening act in the smaller club, because it probably won’t be that way for much longer…and you get that chance tonight. The duo open for The Mowgli’s and Family Of The Year this evening at the fantastic Brighton Music Hall (tickets and info here) which is one of my favorite venues in Boston. The show is sponsored by Radio 92.9 and Fenway Recording Sessions and is guaranteed to be a music-tastic Thursday night out.

To get you ready for the show take a listen to the great track “Operating” above and check out their February performance on Conan. Don’t you just love when you get to say “Yeah I saw those guys before anyone else knew them.” Now’s your chance!
