[T]his summer Spectrals will release another record, and it seems as though their sound is being honed and focused with more emphasis on Jones’ wry lyrics over fuzzed out guitars. Take “A Heartbeat Behind,” the first single a rollicking guitar track with a little rockabilly flavor, and the vocals and songwriting much more present than on their last effort.
We’ll chew more on this tune for the next couple weeks until the June 18th release date.
