The Dodos – Substance

[S]an Francisco rockers The Dodos have got a new album coming out 8/27 titled the Carrier, and have yet again released another track from the record. The track in question, titled “Substance,” which features a heavily rhythm focused drum line, which has been their bread and butter over the years, gang harmonies, and an ever scaling size and scope that will have you rocking along with them in no time, it features exactly what these guys do, big drums and then weaves in intricate guitar work and amps it up a bit.

effortlessly embodies all of these traits, from the crisp drumming that announces its arrival to the bright guitar lines that weave in and out before eventually joining forces with a triumphant burst of trumpets.
