[O]ne of the most promising sounding bands that have hit my inbox lately has been Los Angeles’ Song Preservation Society, a band started by Trevor Bahnson, Ethan Glazer and Daniel Wright. They recorded their debut EP, Ready Room, back in 2012 and I’ve totally fallen for it. Ready Room, has definitely got a strong Simon & Garfunkel influence, it’s got a simple purity to the lyrics & melodies that gives it both a wonderful sense of earnestness and naivety that is instantly relatable.
The songs are breezy, easy to listen to, and will find their way deep inside your ear, begging to be played again and again, and I haven’t found reason not to continue to do so.
I’d highly suggest giving these guys a good listen, I’ve enjoyed it quite a bit.
