[K]entucky musician Tara Kimes has created a one woman wrecking ball of an alter ego by the name of She Might Bite, and she’s readying the release of a new five-track EP titled Don’t Entertain, out on October 27th. The first single, “The Key,” is a slow-burning, locomotive of a track that catches up to you quickly as each new layer of sound is introduced. Kimes recorded and played every instrument herself, with Alice Miller providing back-up vocals. The two have created a sort of industrial meets country meets garage-folk song that is hard to ignore. By the time the chorus of “I have the key” hits, and the guitar and drums kick in to high gear, it’s far too late. The door’s already open and you’ve most certainly been bitten.
