Peggy Sue – Idle

Peggy Sue

[P]eggy Sue’s follow up to their acclaimed 2011 effort, Acrobats, titled Choir of Echoes, to be released by Wichita Recordings and Yep Roc Records at the start of 2014. The first single, is the moody, “Idle,” a slow burning song bookended by prayer-like moments that give off a gospel vibe and relent into pounding drums, and layered vocals and ornamental guitar work. The song’s songwriting explore trials of unemployment, having too much time one your hands, and where your mind goes when you’re idle. It’s a strong, emotive tune that has a great sound, and makes you want to reach for another replay.

Look for Choir of Echoes, in Jan ’14.
