Swedish duo Pale Honey are a lo-fi rock band from Gothenburg looking to take their minimalistic sound worldwide with the release of their self-titled debut album, out May 4th on Bolero Records. The seaside city was placed on the indie-rock map by the amazing (and sadly now defunct) psych-punk band The Soundtrack of Our Lives, and with their first LP Pale Honey’s Tuva Lodmark (guitar / vocals) and Nelly Daltrey (drums) plan on keeping the music world’s eyes and ears focused on the Nordic coast.
The first single is the beautifully simple and well crafted “Youth,” a song that starts off quietly, wistfully leading you into believing the track will remain a hushed synth-tinged number, until the guitar kicks in and the drums snap you back to rock reality. The track is much like youth itself, wild, unpredictable, and fun as hell.
Check out my latest @musicsavage post on Swedish duo Pale Honey. New single “Youth” is so much lo-fi rock fun http://t.co/Np4mnwD9LV Enjoy!
