New Music | Eternal Summers – Together Or Alone

Virginia trio Eternal Summers have a new album on the way and I am pleased to present to you the dreamy first single titled “Together Or Alone.” The band’s fourth LP, Gold and Stone, will be released June 2nd, via Kanine Records, and if this track is any indication of what’s in store it would seem as though we are in for 10 songs of power-hooks, impassioned vocals and enough quick tempo changes to keep you bopping around the room for days, together with friends or in my case, alone with cat eyeing me suspiciously from the bed.

Nicole Yun (vocals/guitar) and Daniel Cundiff (drums) formed Eternal Summers in 2009, having been introduced by bassist Jonathan Woods, who would join the band in 2012 to create the perfect trifecta of rock n’ roll sound. Gold and Stone is the follow up to 2014’s The Drop Beneath, which saw the band shift musical gears towards guitar driven anthems and punkier panache. It seems as though Eternal Summers has embraced the almighty fist-pumping goodness of the power trio while still retaining all that shoegazing glory. That’s something worth turning up loud!
