October 7th was a special night for the Music Savage gang. Two of our favorite troubadours shared the bill at one of our favorite stomping grounds in the Greater Boston area. Brooklyn’s Christopher Paul Stelling and Massachusetts native Dan Blakeslee brought all the Newport Folk energy they both collected this year playing the festival to the sold out crowd at the intimate Cambridge venue Atwood’s Tavern, and it was a glorious night of boot stomping fun.
To say that you missed out if you did not attend is an understatement as both musicians delivered heartfelt performances worthy of a larger audience, yet perfectly crafted for the coziness of the room. Both Stelling and Blakeslee are accomplished artists who have carved their own unique paths through the crowded singer-songwriter music scene and have gathered well-deserved praise and recognition across the country.
Check out the fantastic images from the one and only Steve Benoit of Boston Concert Photography below and be sure to catch these fine musicians live when they grace the stage of your local venue. The artists links below the images will provide you with all the information you need on upcoming shows. I also highly suggest you pick up copies of their latest albums. You will not be disappointed!
