New Music | Sturgill Simpson – Brace For Impact (Live A Little)

This week we were treated to a nice surprise in the form of a new album from Kentucky musician Sturgill Simpson. His third full-length album is titled A Sailor’s Guide to Earth and will be released April 15th via Atlantic Records. To celebrate this fantastic news we’d like to share with you the excellent new single, “Brace For Impact (Live A Little),” which deftly highlights Simpson’s knack for taking country music into new territories of structure and sound.

A Sailor’s Guide to Earth was produced by Simpson and recorded at Nashville’s The Butcher Shoppe. Sturgill and his band will be hitting the road this spring and the first set of tour dates have been announced. Hopefully the boys will hitch their wagon here in a Boston for a spell, as I did not get to see them when they were at the Paradise in February of 2015. The show, as I’ve been told many times by those who did attend, was phenomenal.
