Look at how happy the cute pup is in the promo shot above. That is exactly how happy the new single, “Good Things,” from North London’s Oscar makes me, so of course I had share the happiness with you fine folks. The track is completely infectious and instantly makes you want to dance around in your office chair. Never mind that, it makes you want to get the hell out of the office and find the good things in life. Think Jarvis Cocker inspired lyrics with a lo-fi, yet pop infused, dubstep beat and you get this sparkly gem of song.
Oscar’s debut, Cut and Paste, will be released May 13th via Wichita Recordings and with each single we get this record works its way farther up the 2016 music ladder to be my favorite album of the summer, if not the year.
On May 15th, Oscar will be joining Bloc Party for a US tour which ends right here in Boston on June 2 @ House of Blues.
