I haven’t been able to find out too much about California’s Ethan Burns. But this track that was released “Homeward,” landed in my inbox, and it’s really great. In “Homeward,” Burns finds himself a troubadour in Stax-esque soul/ rhythm and blues song about the never-ending doubt about a broken relationship. The wanting needing bleeds through Burns’ raspy voice, and the crispy rhythms really nicely encapsulate that early sixties sound. You could easily compare “Homeward,” to a soul contemporary like Leon Bridges, and if that’s the case, I can’t wait to hear more.

There isn’t a whole lot to be had! We’re waiting for it as well.
He used to front a band called The Ragged Jubilee and there are a few albums out there you can grab, but I’d say stay tuned to his soundcloud.
