We are super excited to share with you fine folks the brand spankin’ new video for the fantastic song, “I’d Rather Go Blind,” from Somerville musician Julie Rhodes. Filmed and recorded live in one shot, set up in a little shack behind Fond Object Records in Nashville, this video highlights the incredible talents of Rhodes and her stellar band, as well as the outstanding work of director Joshua Shoemaker.
While her Boston area fans are thrilled for her success we also see that one The Julie Rhodes Band will no longer just belong to the local music scene. There are great things ahead for them and the music they create together needs to be heard by all. Speaking of that JRB has just announced their first EVER European tour! That should do the trick. Tour dates and info can be found at rootsymusic.se
Until then you have plenty of chances to see Julie Rhodes here in our area including the annual Porchfest in Somerville which takes place Saturday, May 13th. Followed by the Post Porchfest After-Party Show at Thunder Road also in Somerville. Head over to her website for all the details.
