The latest WFMO & Music Savage Show “Song of the Week” spotlight is focused on the fantastic new single “Long Way Home” from Bloomington, IN band Durand Jones & The Indications. The hip-swaying song is off their sophomore album, American Love Call, released March 1st, 2019 via Dead Oceans/Colemine Records.

The band are Durand Jones (vocals), Aaron Frazer (vocals/drums), Blake Rhein (guitars), Kyle Houpt (bass), and Steve Okonski (keys), five friends who met while studying at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. The Indications’ self-titled debut album was released in 2016 and the band hit the road amassing fans from town to town with their incredible live shows. It was only a matter of time before the word got out on these guys and that moment happened in 2018 when Dead Oceans partnered with Colemine Records to bring the sound of the Indications to the world.

This past weekend they made their daytime television debut on CBS This Morning “Saturday Sessions” playing three songs from the new release and pretty much making sure that their upcoming tour sells out. Speaking of said tour it kicks into full gear Monday, March 18th in Houston and they’ll be here in Boston Sunday, April 21st at Brighton Music Hall. Go!

I have to tell you that American Love Call is already in the running for my top albums of 2019 list so buy it here get out there and see them live when they hit your town. Support touring bands because they work hard to make our lives better through music.
