Song of the Week | Tragic Sasha – Cake

The new WFMO X Music Savage Show “Song of the Week” spotlight shines back down on the UK and highlights the decadent new single, Cake, from London-based musician Tragic Sasha (formerly Sasha). The song is the first release of 2019 and follows her fantastic previous singles Waterworks and Ouch.

Cake was co-written with her producer Scott Colcombe and the duo cleverly use the sweet bakery treat as a metaphor for not so sweet men. With a sugar and spice and all things nice groove you only need to scrape off the icing to reveal decadent layers of attitude enveloped in a rich synthy coating. I’ve listened to this one so many times I think I might have gained a few pounds!

Tragic Sasha is already making a name for herself throughout the UK. She’s gathered loads of accolades throughout the online music-loving community with praise from the likes of The Line Of Best Fit, Clash, DIY, & The 405 to name a few. On top of that amazingness she’s been all over the BBC Radio 1 airwaves and knocked ’em out at her recent sold-out headline show in London.

I totally love what I have heard so far from Tragic Sasha… especially her dance-tastic new single. Press play and enjoy a slice of well-made Cake.
