The latest WFMO X Music Savage Show “Song of the Week” spotlight is focused on the beautiful country of Norway and shines down brightly for the second time on Anna of the North. Today it’s on the brilliant new single and title-track, “Dream Girl,” off the Oslo musician’s upcoming sophomore album out October 25th via Play It Again Sam.
Anna of the North is the stage name of Anna Lotterud and she’s been making Nordic waves in the music world ever since her debut single, “Sway,” dropped back in 2014. Her debut full-length, “Lovers” was released to much rejoicing in 2017 and that album found a huge audience here in the states after the title-track was featured on a Netflix show. Just this year she headlined her first tour in the US and her Boston show was outstanding!
“Dream Girl” is the fifth song we have heard of the upcoming album and after listening to each one many times I can tell you all I am super excited to hear the remaining tracks. Hopefully we’ll get word of tour here in the states in support of the release. We’ll keep you posted!
