The new WFMO X Music Savage Show “Song of the Week” is sharply focused on London and shines down for the second time on Eliza Shaddad. Today we highlight her brand new single, “Girls,” out today via Big Indie Records and will be on her upcoming EP due for release early next year. It’s the first new music since her excellent debut full-length album, Future, released October 2018.
Shaddad is an acclaimed musician who has played in the popular UK jazz band Hansu-Tori and was a member of the UK band Clean Bandit. She broke out on her own in 2014 with the release of her critically acclaimed debut EP, Waters, followed two years later with the fantastic EP, Run, released in 2016.
I love this new song and I’m super happy to share the single, “Girls,” with you fine people. I ask each and every one of you to find all of Eliza Shaddad’s music and listen. If she happens to be playing live in your town do yourself a favor and go. If you are in the UK you can catch Eliza live next at Pop Brixton on November 6th in association with Big Indie Records.
