The first post of 2013 goes to Kingsley Flood, one of my favorite Boston acts going these days. It’s been a long time coming, and we’re just a month or so away from the release of the new record Battles, which will be available February 5th. Their first single from upcoming album was the download of the day last week from the good folks over at Rolling Stone.
The single in question, “Down,” turns up the heat on this cold day in Boston, with pounding drums, a fuuuuuuzzzzzzy keyboard riff, and Naseem Khuri’s in your face vocals. It’s a total rocker from beginning to end, and is damn tasty for sure. From the sounds of it, the Flood is bringing the goods on this highly anticipated record.

The great @musicsavage calls the new single “damn tasty,” and that, in itself, is damn tasty. http://t.co/eTTM5kY4
