New Music | White Denim – Drug

Drug Totally missed out on this, but wanted to make sure I posted it.  White Denim is a bluesy garage rock trio from Austin.  What’s always impressed me about this band is the different sounds they can have.  This single shows off a more southern rock influenced guitar, psych rock affair. New Music | Dylan Fox & the Wave – Tricks

Tricks After listening to their EP, Fuzz Dylan Fox & the Wave had me listening.   The two brothers from Oakland CA, Dylan Fox & Sean Fox, have since recorded another EP entitled Tunnelvision, that they’ll be releasing it April 26th. The sound is dirty, sweaty, garage(y) rock and its totally awesome. dylanfoxandthewave.com

New Music | The Paris Mob

Shouldve Known Better by theparismob The Paris Mob is a 4 piece from London formed recently (October 2010).  They produce a modern 80’s influenced sound with synth atmospheres and jangly guitars.  Its ultimately a warm and shiny sound that sounds very promising.  I look forward to hearing a complete EP from them, but this is a band to keep an eye on. They have recently released a few tracks that are available on your favorite social media spots: Myspace | Soundcloud | Facebook

New Music | Apache Relay – Home Is Not Places

Home Is Not Places Nashville rockers The Apache Relay will release their second album, American Nomad, on April 12th via Thirty Tigers. I missed posting this track but it got brought to my attention again. Home Is Not Places is about the home sickness the band feels while on the road. Its an emotional trip, with vigorous and powerful choruses. Look for American Nomad Soon.

New Music | The Strokes – Macchu Picchu

Machu Picchu Another track off the Strokes upcoming album, Angles (out next week), hit the net. It’s a bright, seemingly 80’s influenced song. Now that I’ve heard a few of these songs off the album my managed expectations have been met it’s time to get pretty excited for this.

New Music | Jason Isbell – Codeine

Codeine Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit will be releasing a new album, Here We Rest, come April 12th via Lightning Rod Records. The single off the album, Codeine, is a country twinged track with a similar feeling to its title. It’s a sleepy, slow paced, lazy song thats ambling but really nice to listen to. Download it for the cost of an email

New Music | Larcenist – Leon

Leon Boston based band, Larcenist contacted me recently with a new EP titled, We Become the Hunted, a 5 song delight of the folk/americana influence with the caveat of “if you play it twice it’ll be a LP.” Well, I played it a few more times than that (a dozen or so) and I can say that this is some really gorgeous music being played here. Downtrodden songs about rustic surroundings and small town influences and blue collar people, with sweeping violin string accompaniments make these songs instantly likable and the perfect listen for a quiet gray day. The track…

Video | Generationals – Ten-Twenty-Ten

Check out the strange video for Generationals’ Ten-Twenty-Ten; it looks like something from an early 90’s Television spot. Everything the Generationals have been putting out lately has been something that I’ve really gotten in to. More than interested in hearing what they’ve got coming as soon as their album Actor Castor hits shelves (March 29) on Park the Van Records.
