Video | Jaill – Perfect Ten

Milwaukee’s Jaill released their album Traps, on Sub Pop today as well as the video for their track “Perfect Ten,” a guitar driven track with a pretty awesome groove. The video’s visual is a little disturbing, but in a funny way.  Check out whether the protagonist makes it into the Distinguished Citizens Club.

Video | Infantree – Here Goes Nothing

California’s Infantree was just chosen to open for Neil Young and Crazy horse on their fall tour, and the timing couldn’t be more perfect as they are about to release their sophomore album, Hero’s Dose,  on June 26th.  Check out the video for their single “Here Goes Nothing,” its a beautiful downtempo  track with sweeping atmospheric backing tracks, subtle piano riffs and a somber vocal line. New Music | Kris Orlowski – All My People Go

I’m becoming a big fan of Seattle-based Kris Orlowski.  He’s released a couple really great EP’s in The Freemont Abbey EP and The Warsaw EP back in November.  He sent this great video for a new song of his titled “All My People Go,” released as an initiative happening in Seattle called Protosong Project. The live recording of the track is wonderful, and his vocals are deep and anchor the gentle picking, as the simple singer songwriter song picks up in intensity filling in with drums & piano swells.  I’m really hoping he puts together a full LP soon and its high time…

We’ve all been pretty damn enamored of the new Beach House record Bloom, and for damn good reason.  It’s wonderful music to listen to that seems to have so many great layers to it.  Check out the video for the second single off the album, “Lazuli.” The video was directed by Allen Cordell and features some supernatural / mystical stories and happenings to people.

New Music | Chocolate Robots – Young Luff

Chocolate Robots – Young Luff

This may be the perfect ray of sunshine that we here in Boston need after about 2 weeks of gray days and rain. Enter Chocolate Robots, a trio of brothers who call a pizza shop home. Their music is fun, irreverent, a little zany and whimsical. This is sunshine pop rock that brightens the day, and begs for some chair dancing. Check out the single above, or the spectacular video below and sing along.

Video | We Loyal – Arch of Glass

Last month, I shared We Loyal’s indie-pop / synth track “Arch of Glass,” and they have just recently released a video for the stand out track.  The video is visually striking and equally moody as is the track, all the shots seem to be taken within home aquarium, and there may or may not be some kind of attempted suicide. web | facebook | soundcloud

Randy Haddock – Go Down to the Station

A few weeks ago, an artist by the name of Randy Haddock sent me over this video of himself playing a song he wrote titled “Go Down to the Station,” over those couple weeks I’ve gone back again and again to hear the song.  Written as a murder ballad, and played solo, the sound is authentically folk sounding, and begs desperately to be played on your back porch, as the sun goes down, sipping whiskey. So in the end, I’m posting this, hoping that he makes the EP he promises me he is making right now.  For now, we’ll…
