Video | Holobody – Riverbed

Canadian, brother and sister duo Holobody have released a new video for their track “Riverbed.” Sea Oleena and Felix Green (aka Luke and Charlotte Loseth), have just released their debut LP Riverhood via Mush Records.  The dreamy pop song got a fantastic treatment for the video.  It’s an animated, paper cut style full of color and beautiful style that seems to compliment the shoe-gazy, dream-pop style of the song. If it tickles your fancy, I’d highly suggest checking out the the record over on Holobody’s bandcamp page.  I have been listening to the record quite a bit since I got it.

Video | 1,2,3 – Scared, But Not That Scared

[vimeo]http://vimeo.com/41862503[/vimeo] Pittsburgh pals 1,2,3 had divulged to me months ago that they had finished shooting a video for their track “Scared, But Not That Scared” off of their fantastic album, New Heaven.  Ultimately spilling the plot for a cultish video that left singer Nic Snyder’s head shaved.  Although I was away for the weekend on vacation, I made sure to note it because its one, a great song, but also a really awesome video.  Check out the video, and see if they make it to the great prairie. Video | Maps & Atlases – Remote & Dark Years

Over the last couple of years I’ve become a fan of Maps & Atlases, I really enjoy what they are doing, how they’ve expanded the math rock genre and found themselves a perfect sonic space.  They’ve recently released a new record (Beware And Be Grateful) and are touring like maniacs. Check out their video for single “Remote & Dark Years.”

Video | Field Report – Fergus Falls

It’s worth mentioning that of all the bands I could have seen at SXSW, I only saw one of them twice. That band was Eau Claire’s Field Report. Their record is coming in July, but you can catch their fantastic track “Fergus Falls,” from the last show I saw at SXSW this year. I may be somewhere in this video, standing front row stage right, it was truly a great way to close the weekend for Visible Voice and I. More Field Report

Video | Glen Hansard – Love Don’t Leave Me Waiting

Glen Hansard’s highly anticipated new record Rhythm and Repose may be a couple of months away, but we are getting a taste of his track “Love Don’t Leave Me Waiting,” a song that to me feels very Van Morrison-like.  It’s carefree & summery and a breath of fresh air.  Pick up the single on iTunes now.  We’ll see Rhythm and Repose in June.

Video | Heart-Sick Groans – If The Canary Stops Singing

Check out this delightful indie pop electro track from Sundsvall, Sweden’s Heart-Sick Groans, and its accompanying video. The simplistic animation seems to fit in so perfectly with the carefree, quirky and fun style of the song. Download the track on their bandcamp. Heart-Sick Groans on Twitter

Video | Beth Jeans Houghton – Atlas

Check out the beautiful video for Beth Jeans Houghton’s single “Atlas,” which will be released 4/24.  The video was produced by friend Juan Iglesias in LA, was produced in black and white and features from nifty stop-motion animation & a chase scene a la Benny Hill.
