Pretty awesome that this is a fan made band approved video, although anonymously created, it must be a big thrill for the creator to have this going around. The fan-made, band-approved, found-footage video for Forgiveness Rock Record‘s epic “Meet Me in the Basement” looks like a visual analog for his worldview. Made as a response to the recent riot-filled G20 Summit in the band’s hometown of Toronto, the clip slices together storm-trooper footage from that event along with a flashes of what could be interpreted as “distractions”: Justin Bieber, violent video games, Lady Gaga, Obama girl. It’s pretty intense.
Premiere of Band of Horses video for their track Laredo.
I’ve been enamored of this song since I posted the mp3 for Night and Day a month ago. Also don’t sleep on their other track that they’ve released, Your Direction is fantastic. Stay on the lookout for their debut full-length Modern Rituals, it’s out August 17 courtesy of Domino; or check back here I’m sure I’ll end up reminding everyone.
Music video by Band of Horses performing Blue Beard. Directed by Christopher Wilson. (c) 2010 Huger Lewis and the Dudes Inc. It took me a while but I’m just now after about 8 or 9 listens through their album Infinite Arms has finally grown on me. Its a wonderfully beautiful rock album and definitely one you should own. Vetiver & Fruit Bats from Yours Truly on Vimeo. Bobby Charles “I Must Be In A Good Place Now” – This song is absolutely gorgeous, really just a beautiful song, and wonderfully played.
Pop Synth band The Pass, out of Kentucky, are setting up a release to their upcoming album Burst with this video. Premiered on Pretty Much Amazing the song ‘Treatment of the Sun’ kind of sounds like Empire of the Sun. It’s highly catchy, danceable, and the video is a lot of fun. The Pass – “Treatment of the Sun” PMA Premiere from Pretty Much Amazing
Recorded live in studio in Muscle Shoals, AL during the making of their newest album, Brothers. The Black Keys continue to be one of the coolest rock bands around today. The eery nature of this song, the howling and airy sounds and Auerbach’s voice bring this song into a deep dark corner of your mind.
Fang Island, aptly named, and totally fun have become one of my go to workout ‘pump you up’ bands. Their self titled album is full of exploding jams that make you want to get up and move. Check out their video for Careful Crossers.
