Video | Local Natives – Who Knows Who Cares?

Check out the Official Video fro Local Natives’ Who Knows Who Cares from their outstanding album Gorilla Manor.  This happened to be my favorite track off the album, and I’m really glad they made the video.  Who wouldn’t want to be part of this road trip, and eventually part of this food fight.

New Music | He’s My Brother, She’s My Sister

Tales that I Tell Los Angeles’ He’s My Brother, She’s My Sister is no ordinary folk band.  They have such a great eclectic sound, that ranges from psychedelic to jazz to country to swing.  Evidenced in track Tales that I tell, He’s My Brother She’s my Sister is one great sounding band.  They are currently touring with Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros and for good reason.  They’ve got a similar feel, and they seriously are putting out some fantastic music. Profile | One Hello World

Through Everything, I’m There I’m always stumbling about on the internet so a lot of things come across my eyes and ears.  When I’m blown away at the content I see, I make a note of it, usually to share with others.  Enter One Hello World, a website created by a musician living in Wichita, KS. He asks, to call (316) 247-0421 and tell your thoughts and he’ll write the soundtrack. One in…

New Music | Bad Books

You Wouldn’t Have to Ask Bad Books is a side project featuring Kevin Devine and Andy Hull (of Manchester Orchestra.)  Without any real concept or reasoning other than to write music together while away from MO, the two realized an entire album together.  The self-titled debut was released October 19th, 2010 via Favorite Gentlemen Recordings, the record label that was founded and has been run by Manchester Orchestra since 2007. What comes out is 35 minutes of really good music.  Although you can hear the differences (or what seems to be differences) between songs written by Devine and Hull respectively,…

New Music | Cold War Kids – Royal Blue

Royal Blue Cold War Kids are releasing a new album January 25, 2011 called Mine Is Yours.  The lead single off that upcoming album is Royal Blue.  I really dig the bass line, and am still really enjoying Cold War Kids loose style, they seem to sound over the hump here, the sound is fun, and still incorporates their signature howling vocals. Can’t wait to hear more from this album.
