Photos | Caroline Rose + Henry Jamison @ Great Scott

Few things can draw people together in the way that an off-the-chain musical performance can. And that, my friends, is precisely what Caroline Rose and her cohorts are delivering on a nightly basis: an insanely entertaining, diverse, high-energy eargasm of a show. Touring behind her latest release (and Music Savage #AOTY nominee,) LONER, Rose and her band of merry mischief makers (including a handless Elmo and Chelsea the faceless, animatronic cat) are ripping up sold out shows across this great land of ours. The sold out show at Great Scott was no exception. Working their way through almost the whole…

Mixtape | February 2018

The month of February is over and we’re well on our way into 2018 now and as the temperatures warm up the new music is flowing. New stuff from Eels, to Chromeo, CHVRCHES, Caroline Rose, Courtney Barnett, Field Report and so much more. I’m so so stoked on this mixtape and I hope you like it as much as I do. As always, let us know what we’ve missed (if anything), and please do enjoy.

Mixtape | January 2018

Welcome to 2018. Our first mixtape is a doozy. The way this mixtape went, it’s going to be the year of female fronted band. I’m so so stoked on this mixtape and I hope you like it as much as I do. As always, let us know what we’ve missed (if anything), and please do enjoy.

Photos + Review | Pokey LaFarge + Caroline Rose @ The Sinclair

Photos by Boston Concert Photography It was about the point when I noticed the gigantic bottle of whiskey on stage that I knew where this night was going to go. But I’m getting ahead of myself. Let’s start from the beginning. Last Thursday night, at The Sinclair, I was lucky enough to see one of my favorites, Caroline Rose, share a bill with the inimitable Pokey LaFarge. I know other members of the team here were well familiar with him and loved him already, but I was a newcomer. And now I am a convert. But I’m getting ahead of…

Review | Long Time & Caroline Rose @ Great Scott

Photos by Matt LeBel and me. Any halfway adequate-looking ones of Long Time are his. Tuesday night, Allston’s sweatered and plaid faithful flocked to Great Scott – no shade, I have lived in Allston, and in the wintertime I am reliably either sweatered or plaid – to see jazzy Boston folkster Thomas John Cadrin take a big huge leap. This was his first show with a full band, and as such, a new name.  The band is named Long Time, and if you don’t instantly see the potential there to yell out “We love you, Long Time!”, please report to me immediately…
