Best Coast’s album, Crazy for You, was a summer gem, and they’ve finally kicked out a video for single, Boyfriend. The video follows a young teenager on her 15th birthday dreaming about a boy. It’s all pretty basic, no wild concept, but it’s nice to hear the song refreshed again. I really enjoyed Crazy For You, had a lot of fun listening to it, and it was perfect for lazy summer days. It’s yet another dreamy lo-fi beach / surf – pop act, but this one in particular shines in a crowded room. Their music is a mix of california breezes, the beach boys and a near gospel like vocal styling. This album is a definite recommendation. The album will be released July 27 on Mexican Summer.
