The song, is a cover originally by Eddie Hinton, whom the Drive By Truckers in the past have written a song about him (Sandwiches for the Road). They’ve released a track off the album, titled “Used to Be a Cop,” a 7 minute alt country / blues track that, if you are a fan of DBT will be right up your alley.
