Mixtape | September 2018

The great thing about being so late to releasing the August mixtape is that September is here, and the mixtape is ready to go. It goes without saying but I think this mixtape is really great, and I’m digging the heck out of the songs that are on it. Please do let me know if you’ve heard stuff that we missed this month.

Mixtape | January 2018

Welcome to 2018. Our first mixtape is a doozy. The way this mixtape went, it’s going to be the year of female fronted band. I’m so so stoked on this mixtape and I hope you like it as much as I do. As always, let us know what we’ve missed (if anything), and please do enjoy.

Mixtape | December 2017

Press Play Our final month of the year has officially been closed. This has been a fantastic music year, and I’ve been having a lot of fun putting together these monthly mixes again. It’s great to chronicle a year based on what you’ve been listening to, and we’re so lucky these days to have enough new music each month to put together these. I hope you enjoy some new tunes over your holiday break, and please let me know what I might have missed this month.

Mixtape | October 2017

Press Play October was a spooky good month for new music, and I’m psyched for the broad range of music that we’ve got on this playlist. Everything from power pop jams to jangly americana to lo-fi ambling indie rock. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. As always if there’s something I missed, please leave a comment and tell me what it is.

New Music | First Aid Kit – You are the Problem Here

First Aid Kit is sharing a new single called “You Are The Problem Here” in honor of International Women’s Day. It’s a foray into a very different style for them, and explicitly condemns sexual assault. It’s a really powerful track, where you can feel the palpable sense of despair for the times we live in. In a culture where punishments seemingly don’t fit the crime, the final line of the song rings truer than ever.
