New Music | Monument Valley – Dear John Letters

The melancholy of the fall’s grey days can bring on seasonal-affective disorders… so too can a melancholic song such as Monument Valley’s “Dear John Letters.” The absurdly delicate feel of this song and the idea of the unwillingness to face someone you are in a relationship with and breaking up with them is one possibly earth-shatteringly low things you could do. Its a beautiful track and proves thus further that Monument Valley’s upcoming EP (Tongues out 11/28) should be on your list.

New Music | Monument Valley – Round and Round

Monument Valley is the musical project of Londoner Ned Younger. His first track from his debut release, the Tongues EP (out Nov 28), is “Round and Round.”   The album concept is quite fun actually.  Younger collected nameless photographs at random garage sales and markets and amassed an extensive collection of pictures of strangers.  From there, the album is written as imaginary stories of the people in the photographs.  It’s an introspective look into his imagination through songs inspired by rock and indie pop.
