2014 | Steve’s Top Albums of the Year + Stuff

The practice of ranking the year’s albums is certainly one that I approach with some hesitation. Like Kyle, I was tempted to not even try to rank them. I mean, ask me what the best album of the year is and — depending on my mood and the day’s events — I’ll likely give you a different answer each time. One good thing about that — 10PM Friday night at Nick-A-Nees in Providence rolls before you know it. A collection of fans, musicians, and artisans of all kinds gathered in torrential conditions to come to the aid of one of their own: Dave Lamb of Brown Bird. Recently, while on tour supporting their latest release, Lamb was taken to the hospital for severe exhaustion.
