New Music | Sonny & The Sunsets – Dark Corners

[R]ockers Sonny & The Sunsets have nestled into a really wonderful niche, that seems to allow them to churn out album after album after album, of this wonderful garage rock / psych pop pastiche. Surprisingly, they are releasing their fourth album in as many years. The album, Antenna to the Afterworld is a concept album based on aliens, but definitely does seem to be on the darker side of gloomy. Antenna to the Afterworld, available June 11th. Pre-order CD, LP, cassette here: www.polyvinylrecords.com/antenna

California Breezes with Sonny & the Sunsets

Death Cream Too Young to Burn Sonny & the Sunsets’ beachy songs bring back to the time of early 60’s pop.  They have this real throw back style that marries the sounds of the Beach Boys with the Moldy Peaches. Check out Too Young to Burn, a pure summer chill jam, and Death Cream and see for yourself.  If you like them, why not buy an album that’s perfect for those slow sunny days on the beach. If you are feeling really adventurous, you can download their recent daytrotter session here. http://www.myspace.com/sonnythesunsets
