New Music | The Antlers – Parentheses

Check out the new track from the Antlers, Parentheses.  This one as with a lot of the Antlers’ music is difficult to describe.  This has got a more rattly sound that what we heard on Hospice, but their ‘slowcore’ styling and choir like vocals are entrancing.  Its a great sounding song, and makes my mouth water at another album of it. The Luyas at the Paradise Tonight

Tiny Head Tonight at the Paradise Rock Club, we can welcome The Luyas with open arms.  Their upcoming album, Too Beautiful to Work will be released on February 22 (February 21, in the UK). I’ve gotten a chance to listen to the album, its a collection of echo-drenched space-age pop songs, its futurist but retro at the same time. The Luyas had a lot of help on the album as well. They enlisted talented friends such as Owen Pallett on violin, Colin Stetson adds saxophone and clarinet, Sarah Neufeld (who plays in a band called Arcade Fire) also plays violin. The…
