It would be fair to say they’ve traded sonic landscapes from their bread and butter 90’s alt-pop pastiche for that of a slightly moodier & more serious one. Maybe it’s growing up, maybe its early onset seasonal affective disorder, but on Kowloon, guitars fuzz, vocals reverb ever so slightly, and the songs can take a bit more of an introspective feel.
