Photos by Boston Concert Photography Sometimes you get lucky and that one band from Iceland you’ve been digging just happens to be headlining a Taste of Iceland event in your city on your birthday. Sometimes you get even luckier and that band is Kaleo. Top Albums of 2011 15-11

The Middle East may have hung up their collective instruments, but they still released a stellar album in I Want That You Are Always Happy. Its definitely going to be tops in some album lists this year. Their first single off the album is “Jesus Came To My Birthday Party,” a sunny, exuberant, guitar-driven pop gem. The band threw a competition to make the music video for the single. The contest drew entries from around the world (all of which can be viewed at genero.tv/themiddleeast). This is the winter.
