Luke Temple – Ophelia

During the time Luke Temple from Here We Go Magic wrote their successful debut he was also writing a completely different album. Being referred to as “the Country Record,” Temple wrote Don’t Act Like You Don’t Care, a completely contrasted album to Here We Go Magic’s hazy aquatic debut. Shelved due to the success of HWGM’s self-titled debut, 3 years later, we’ve got this fantastic folk-pop country tinged album being put out on Western Vinyl. First cut of the record is “Ophelia,” a bouncy, folk-pop gem that feels rickety and organic, totally alive, and one that you are going to listen to again and again.

Inspired by Rudy Vangelder’s early Blue Note recordings, Temple and friends recorded the songs in two 4-hour sessions using just three microphones and a 4-track recorder, the album is available September 6th on Western Vinyl. Pr-order Here.
