I first pressed play on this new Regina Spektor single “All the Rowboats,” not sure with what I was to expect. Let me rephrase, it is definitely not what I was thinking I’d hear. It’s an extremely moody, kind of dark, but altogether beautiful piece of music. Its a great surprise, and the huge production that counters her great voice and the subtle piano riffs really create a level of tension and darkness that is so fantastic.
Look for her new album, What We Saw From The Cheap Seats, early this spring.
