[W]hen a band from Manchester, UK attempts to break into the US market the music world expects big things, given the well documented musical path to our airwaves by those who have come before. With that said, The 1975 have begun to chart their course with the release of their new single “Sex” from the EP, Sex, out November 12, 2012 on Vagrant Records. While it would be hard for any band from that area to break free from inevitable comparisons the band manages to pay homage to the scene while planting their own rock n’ roll flag in the Warehouse City soil.
The 1975 are currently putting the finishing touches on their debut album, set for a Spring 2013 release, and will be heading out on a short UK tour in December to promote Sex.
