[D]oes the world need another song about California? Probably not, but make room for another one, and one that sounds like it might just capture some hearts and ears. With a Lumineers’ rambling, plodding folk sound, Jamestown Revival has a song here that’s a total earworm. It’s the warm, spirited tune that embodies the title of California, a bit breezy, dusty and with some really wonderful harmonies. This is the tune that as soon as you hear the first notes, you’re probably going to like it.

In case you need a refresher, Jamestown Revival is made up of Jonathan Clay and Zach Chance, two close friends who grew up together in the small Texas town of Magnolia. They are about to release their California EP, available today on iTunes.
