Simone Felice – Molly O!

simone felice

[H]aving spent time with the Lumineers over the summer, we’re now seeing some collaboration on Simone Felice’s new single “Molly O!” as Wesley Schultz and Jeremiah Fraites of The Lumineers, have lent a hand on this track with additional vocals. The song marks the difficulty in lost relationships. Felice mentions, “Isn’t it wild how, when it comes to matters of the heart, we can start out so fanatical, so certain, only to end up as strangers in the end? Remote even to ourselves over time, strangers in the mirror…” I’ve always enjoyed Felice’s tunes, an excellent songwriter, whose creativity seems to know no bounds, and his raspy vocals, which deliver a very Felice-like that to me is reminiscent of Mark Knopfler.

Molly O! will be featured on Felice’s new album coming in March, titled Strangers, on Dualtone Records.
