Super excited for the brand new album, Why Are You OK, from South Carolina’s Band of Horses and here we have the lyric video for the first single, “Casual Party,” to help get you ready to take the stage at your next karaoke throw-down.
This will be the band’s fifth studio album and the first for Interscope Records, having recently signed with the label, which will release Why Are You Ok this coming June. Produced by Jason Lytle of Grandaddy, and recorded in both sunny California and snowy upstate New York, the new LP was created meticulously during the past couple of years as Ben Bridwell and the gang reconnected with the song writing process.
“Casual Party” is the sound of Band of Horses at their most comfortable. It’s breezy and vibrant like a BoH track should be, a perfect track to help celebrate the change of seasons and the soon to be here warm weather. Add it to your summer driving playlist!
Fun fact: The album title came from Bridwell’s 4 year old daughter sending him an accidental text from her mother’s phone with that message.
