British power-pop-punkers Martha have a new album on the way and we have the new single to share and it is guaranteed to bring two minutes and eight seconds of head-bopping bliss right to your ears. The band’s second release, Blisters In The Pit Of My Heart, is out July 1st on Dirtnap Records here in the states and July 8th via Fortuna POP! in the UK.
We’ve already had one fabulous single, “Martha Goldman’s Detective Agency,” and the second equally fabulous single “Ice Cream and Sunscreen,” highlights the quartet’s ability to create infectiously fun rock n’ roll time and time again. If you are liking what you’ve heard so far from Blisters In The Pit Of My Heart you most definitely need to check out their first album, Courting Strong, which came out back in May of 2014.
“Ice Cream and Sunscreen” is short and sweet, full of happiness mixed with melancholy, and makes you wish it could last just a little while longer… just like summertime.
