Song of the Week | Lydia Loveless – Boy Crazy

This week’s WFMO X Music Savage Show “Song of the Week” spotlight shines on the fantastic track, “Boy Crazy,” from Columbus, Ohio musician Lydia Loveless. It’s the latest single from the brand new album, Boy Crazy and Single(s)released October 13th via Bloodshot Records.

The new album is a collection of singles, rarities, and covers from throughout the artist’s career and includes all the tracks on her out of print 5-song EP, Boy Crazy, which was a limited edition DC-EP released back in 2014. Loveless is a talented singer-songwriter whose career began back in 2004 when her family formed a new wave pop band called Carson Drew, which included her father and two sisters. In 2010, at the age of fifteen, she wrote and recorded her debut album, The Only Man. Just two years later she signed with Bloodshot Records and has since released three critically acclaimed, full-length studio albums, including her most brilliant album to date, Real, which came out in August of 2016.

Loveless has captured the hearts of music fans all over the world with her emotionally charged lyrics and musical prowess that she has magnificently crafted throughout the past decade. With a relentless tour schedule both as an opening act for artists such as Jason Isbell, Old 97’s, & Drive-By Truckers, as well as with her own fantastic band, she has gained a reputation has a must see live musician.

Speaking of seeing her live, you my friend will get a chance to do just that as her solo tour has just begun and she’ll be here in Boston Thursday, November 9th at The Red Room at Cafe 939. I suggest you add this one to your must see list. All tour and ticket information can be found on Loveless’ website.
