The new WFMO X Music Savage Show “Song of the Week” spotlight shines down once again on the UK and focuses on the smashing new single, “Everlastingly Yours,” from the newly formed quartet Piroshka. The track will be on their highly anticipated debut album, Brickbat, out February 15th via Bella Union
Now this band may be new but the members involved bring a hefty amount of Britpop firepower to the table. Piroshka are former Lush vocalist/guitarist Miki Berenyi, former Elastica drummer Justin Welch, Modern English bassist Mick Conroy, and former Moose guitarist KJ “Moose” McKillop. Welch was also a member of Lush from 2015 to 2016 when he joined them to play drums during the band’s comeback tour.
These tried-and-true rock n’ rollers have created a rocket of sound that is targeted to hit your ears at maximum velocity and self-propel right into your soul. And yes the missile lingo is on purpose and it’s up to you to figure out why.
