The latest WFMO X Music Savage Show “Song of the Week” spotlight is focused once again on the UK city of Leeds and shines on the fantastic single “Rats In The Kitchen” from Party Hardly. It’s the latest track from the band’s upcoming sophomore EP, Modern Strife is Rubbish, due out July 26th.

Party Hardly consists of Tom Barr (guitars, vocals), Matt Pownall  (guitars, vocals), Stanley Braddock (bass, vocals) and Lachlan Banner (drums). They take a unique approach to that classic Britpop style made famous by the nineties legends that came before them and kick it up a notch by combining it with in your face punk dynamics and bright jangle-pop cheer for a sound that makes you want to jump around the room with your mates in a fury while also making sure nobody gets hurt. It’s a win win for all!

The excellent new single, “Rats In The Kitchen,” is a hard-hitting statement on how the older generation continues to vilify the younger generation and the never ending struggle to break that cycle of “Get off my lawn” attitude that gets handed down from generation to generation. I love this track and can’t wait to hear more from this up and coming band.

Now get off my lawn… and get on the band’s socials!
