The latest edition in the WFMO X Music Savage Show “Song of the Week” spotlight focuses for the first time on the Indonesian island of Java and shines down brightly on the super-cool duo Stars and Rabbit. The single, “Little Mischievous,” is off their latest album, Rainbow Isle, released February 26th via Green Island Music.
Stars and Rabbit are Elda Suryani and Didit Saad. The musicians joined forces in 2011 and have been making a name for themselves in the Indonesian music scene by combining their love of indie rock perfectly together with the island’s style and sound. They have made quite a name for themselves in their native city of Jogja and it is my goal to spread the word of this band here in the U.S. The moment I pressed play on “Little Mischievous” I just knew you all needed to hear this song. It just makes me happy… and isn’t that what music is all about in the first place?
